Make plans to tackle your attic, basement, garage, or junk drawer soon because our neighborhood shred and dumpster day is back on Saturday, March 28, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the pool cul-de-sac.
THANK YOU to Matt LaMarsh, with Engel & Völkers Atlanta, for sponsoring the shredding truck and to Luke Clark, with Southern Seal Insulation, who has teamed up with the Firebrand Roofing team to provide the dumpster. Reach out to Matt or Luke for any future real estate or home renovation needs!
Sunday, March 29 at 11:30 a.m. at Mount Vernon Presbyterian Church
We weren’t able to find a willing volunteer to host our neighborhood egg hunt, but our friends at Mount Vernon Presbyterian Church have generously invited us to hop across the street and join theirs! The festivities will take place in the grassy courtyard in front of the Lower School main entrance (next to the Fellowship Hall/school cafeteria). There will be a designated area for little bunnies and a more challenging hunt for the big kids, so all are invited! Bring your basket, and we’ll see you there!
This year, we’re spreading some Mount Vernon Woods love to the community helpers who serve us, and we’re starting across the street, with our local librarians!
We will be dropping off dessert for the librarians to enjoy after their staff meeting on Thursday, April 16.
If you love the library—or baking!—will you help us by contributing a dessert? Homemade, store-bought, cookies, cakes, pies, brownies, fruit—any contribution is appreciated. Let us know you’ll donate a baked good by signing up here. Drop-off and delivery details are on the sign-up sheet.
Saturday, May 2, from 9 a.m. to noon
Please plan to join us for our annual tennis court, pool, and playground clean-up day. This day of service is an important investment in the amenities that increase everyone’s property values, so we need an hour or two of your help! Plus, this year’s volunteers will be the first to see the swimming pool’s off-season glow-up! More details to come in April, but please plan to send at least one representative from your household if at all possible.
